Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By creating an account and ticking the agreement checkbox at registration, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1. The Service
Philip's Drive Time is a digital portal for managing driving lessons between Philip Hughes (ADI) and registered pupils. The platform provides:
- Online lesson booking and diary management
- Driving skill progress tracking (NI DVA syllabus)
- Lesson notes and history
- Secure messaging between pupil and instructor
- Optional parent/guardian progress sharing
The platform is built and maintained by Ardvio. Philip Hughes is responsible for the delivery of all driving instruction.
2. Lesson Pricing
Lesson rates are set by Philip Hughes and communicated directly to each pupil prior to booking. Prices are subject to change with at least 14 days' notice.
3. Booking & Confirmation
Lessons can be booked through the Philip's Drive Time portal. A booking is confirmed once it appears in your dashboard. Philip reserves the right to decline a booking request at his discretion.
4. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 12 hours before the lesson: no charge
- Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the lesson: full lesson fee applies
- No-shows without any notice: full lesson fee applies
To cancel, use the portal or contact Philip directly. Verbal or WhatsApp cancellations are accepted but must be made within the 12-hour window to avoid a charge.
5. Instructor Cancellations
Philip reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson at any time. In the event of an instructor-initiated cancellation:
- No charge will apply to the pupil
- Philip will make reasonable effort to offer an alternative slot
- In exceptional circumstances (illness, emergency, adverse weather), cancellations will be made as early as possible
6. Pupil Responsibilities
By registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal information at registration
- Be ready at the agreed pick-up location at the lesson start time
- Hold a valid provisional driving licence for the vehicle type being taught
- Inform your instructor of any medical conditions or eyesight issues that may affect your ability to drive
- Not attend a lesson under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs driving ability
- Treat Philip Hughes and other road users with respect at all times
7. Limitation of Liability
Philip Hughes and Ardvio will not be liable for:
- Any failure to pass the practical or theory driving test
- Loss or damage to personal property during lessons
- Any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or driving lessons
- Platform downtime or technical issues outside of our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
8. Platform Use
Your account is personal to you. You must not share your login credentials, attempt to access another pupil's data, or use the platform for any purpose other than managing your driving lessons.
Ardvio reserves the right to suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these terms.
9. Data & Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
